Minister of Buddha Sasana, Public Security, Law and Order and Deputy Minister of Defence Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka has expressed his regrets to the Hindus of Kurunegala if their feelings have been hurt over the funeral of a bikkhu of the Kawdawatta Temple in Kurunegala taking place in front of a Pillayar Temple within the premises of the Hindu Maha Vidyalaya on Wednesday (September 29).
The Minister expressed his regrets after the Minister of Hindu Affairs and Agricultural, Marketing Development Douglas Devananda making representation to the Minister of Buddha Sasana today (September 29) regarding the decision of the Funeral Committee to hold the funeral at this location
